Let's try a last 5 string finger exercise. This is another position exercise. You will only be able to really use the full range of the 5 string bass guitar if you can move smoothly between different positions. Try playing this next exercise on you bass from the sheet music and bass tab. Of course you should also try it on other strings but playing it on the low string will really help you develop your strength in your pinky and ring finger.
