Advanced Metal Riffs: 100 Fast Open String Exercises
If you are already playing better than the average beginner and intermediate metal guitarist you will probably not have any problems playing these next riffs. If you do just practice a few from the guitar tabs and sheet music and try to jam along with the rhythm. If it's too easy try increasing the tempo or switch to a more difficult metal drum rhythm.
These are the things you should be able to do before moving on to the next guitar lesssons, riffs and exercises.
1) play the open strings tight. All notes should be equally long.
2) shifting the chord positions on the guitar neck should be smooth
