Ampeg new SVP1600 Bass Power Amp

Ampeg’s new SVP1600 power amp is the most powerful output section in Ampeg’s popular SVT4PRO line, delivering 1200 watts RMS and 1600 watts Peak output power when mono-bridged, which brings increased power and headroom. The amp is useful in multi-cab setups where another power source is needed or with any of Ampeg’s preamps.

The SVP1600 offers stereo, dual mono, or mono-bridged operation, making it the most versatile bass power amp on the market. Balanced through jacks allow for sending signal through to another amplifier for even more stage volume, and front panel volume control and LEDs allow for easy access and control on stage. Finally, its Neutrik Speakon connectors offer the best in conductivity and locking.

The SVP1600 can be used with any of Ampeg’s preamps, and can also be used as a dedicated additional power source for some of Ampeg’s 4 ohm enclosures like the SVT810E, SVT412HE, SVT18 or BXT series enclosures. The SVP1600 lists for $1,299.
