Playing chords on guitar is easy, playing power chords on electric guitar is even easier, but playing power chords on guitar in rock music is certainly a challenge. Any great acoustic guitar player knows a few tricks and can give you a few tips on how to make power chords sound good on acoustic guitar, and of course, so can we.
A power chord needs to sound neutral and powerful, but playing the standard power chords will not get you a good sound on guitar, that’s why we’ll show you a few guitar tabs of power chords that can be used on acoustic guitar. After this and the next guitar lessons you should be able to apply these tricks and play any power chord on acoustic guitar, or even use them on electric guitar to give you some more variations. These chords are also especially useful for clean electric guitar songs, or punk and alternative trashy distorted guitar sounds.
