How to Play Electric Guitar: The Guitar Pick
To get any sound from your guitar you need to 'hit' or 'pick' the guitar string with your right hand. When you play acoustic guitar you can do this with your fingers or a guitar pick. On electric guitar you will almost always use a guitar pick.
A guitar pick is usually made from some sort of plastic. It can be smooth or have a rough surface. And it can comes in many different shapes. There are also differences in thickness. Some guitarists like a very thin guitar pick that will bend a little. Others like a very rigid guitar pick.
