Yamaha BB1000MA Electric Bass Lower Cost Classic ModelYamaha Corporation of America, Guitar Products, answers the request for a cost-effective, 4-string electric bass that emulates the distinctive sound of the 1980's with the introduction of the BB1000MA at Summer NAMM 2001. Recalling the classic look and sound of the venerable Yamaha BB3000S—and the recently-introduced BB3000MA signature Michael Anthony (Van Halen) model—the BB1000MA is the ideal choice for the working musician, versatile enough to be used for styles ranging from country to heavy rock, and delivery slated for September.{16047.jpgr "Dealers and consumers have been requesting an electric bass with this feature set and price point for some time," states David Bergstrom, marketing manager, Combo Group, Pro Audio & Combo Division. Passive electronics and P/J format Alnico V pickups produce a tone that can handle a wide variety of musical and playing styles.
